Job Description:

To support our customer and volume growth, we are hiring for various positions in our carrier services department. In this vital and visible part of our company, you will be responsible for making a high volume of outbound calls to new and existing Genpro carriers, sourcing and facilitating haulers, negotiating carrier rates, and developing strong, meaningful carrier relationships.

Ideal candidates should have:

At least 1 year of relevant transportation industry experience, with prior customer service or sales experience.

  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Availability to work alternating Saturdays.

Job Description:

Genpro has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and hard-charging sales professional to join our team.

Our mission is to exceed customer expectations and continue to distinguish Genpro from other logistics providers. In order to expand on our success and achieve our ambitious goals for growth, we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced culture, values long-term stability, and prides themselves on meeting both individual and team objectives.

Ideal candidates should have:

  • A college degree or equivalent related business experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 4 years of direct sales experience with an emphasis on developing new accounts.
  • Sound knowledge of proven sales processes.
  • A clear track record of year-over-year sales growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic business development, negotiation, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, decision-making and problem solving capabilities.
  • Computer proficiency with standard software including word and spreadsheet programs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Identify new sales opportunities though lead generation, cold calling and prospecting.
  • Grow and maintain business within existing accounts.
  • Proactively create opportunities for additional sales with new and existing customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key account decision makers
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers.
  • Keep complete, accurate records of all sales and customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and objectives.
  • Help to improve sales revenue in line with established sales targets.
  • Effectively work with the sales team, operations and service functions to maintain superior service levels and maximize sales revenue.
  • Provide sales support and impeccable customer service to all customers.
  • Travel to customer locations as required.
